Home Hero helps users create and manage home maintenance plans, reminders, logs, and guide usage. We collect only the information needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the app.
We may collect account information such as email address and display name; home setup answers such as home type, heating, cooling, and water-heater selections; maintenance tasks, due dates, completion history, notes, costs, service provider names, and optional photos or documents users attach to maintenance logs; notification preferences and Expo push tokens when users enable reminders; support or feedback messages; and product usage or diagnostic data when analytics and diagnostics are enabled.
We use information to create and sync user accounts, generate starter maintenance plans, store tasks and maintenance history, send reminders requested by the user, provide support, improve reliability, understand app usage, prevent abuse, and comply with legal or security obligations.
Home Hero uses Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and Edge Functions; PostHog for first-party product analytics when configured and enabled; Expo services for app delivery and push notification tokens; OpenRouter or OpenAI-compatible model providers through Supabase Edge Functions for optional task and starter-plan assistance; and YouTube embeds for guide videos. Paid subscriptions and RevenueCat are not enabled in this version of the app.
Analytics may include screen views, onboarding progress, guide views, task actions, app version, platform, and similar product-interaction events. Diagnostic events may include error names, timing, and reliability information. We do not intentionally send passwords, full notes, home addresses, photos, or maintenance-log descriptions in analytics events. Users can turn analytics and diagnostic event collection off in Settings > Privacy & Security.
When Home Hero generates maintenance suggestions or a starter plan, relevant home setup answers and task context may be sent to a Supabase Edge Function and processed by an OpenRouter or OpenAI-compatible model provider. Do not enter emergency, medical, legal, financial, or highly sensitive personal information into free-text fields.
Push notifications are optional. If a user enables reminders, Home Hero stores an Expo push token, platform, device name or model when available, and reminder preferences so requested notifications can be delivered. Users can disable reminder delivery in the app or in iOS Settings.
Guide videos may load YouTube content. Opening or playing embedded videos may be subject to YouTube or Google privacy practices in addition to this policy.
Users can update profile information, adjust notification preferences, turn analytics and diagnostics on or off, request data export assistance from Help & Support, and delete their account in Settings > Privacy & Security. Account deletion removes the Home Hero account, profile, homes, tasks, maintenance logs, notification records, AI suggestion logs, uploaded maintenance photos or documents, and local app cache, except records we are legally or security-required to retain.
We retain account and maintenance data while the account is active or as needed to provide the app. After deletion, associated app data is removed from active systems where technically feasible, subject to legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention, and support obligations. We use authentication, access controls, row-level security, and provider security controls to protect user data.
Home Hero does not use advertising SDKs or sell user data. We do not use data to track users across other companies' apps or websites for advertising or data-broker purposes.
